What von Trier does is take individual, fleshed-out characters, form intimate connections with them, and involve them with his philosophical and existential wanderings, bringing empathetic characters into a place where they can represent ideas or internal conflicts. It is about life and death, the decisions in love and heartbreak that we make along the way, and the lashings we are willing to receive for the pleasures we lose ourselves in.

I learned from the stories in the global movies that we are all alike across all borders. Remember that one of the best symbols of many great civilizations and their prosperity has been the art they have left behind. This art can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, architecture, writings, inventions, etc.

For our modern society, Cinema happens to be one of them. Cinema is more than just a form of entertainment, it is an integral part of society.
